When running a report, I get an error message.

There are a few reasons you might get an error when running a report. 

1. Your query is too long. Try to limit your queries to 70 characters or so (or 6-8 words). Sometimes Twitter doesn't handle longer queries correctly. Instead of pasting in the entire text of a tweet, select a few key words and search for those instead. 

2. Twitter is down or experiencing elevated error rates. Sometimes Twitter gets overwhelmed (they have to handle more than 200 million tweets a day!) and that causes the Search API to temporarily stop working. Usually this is resolved in just a few minutes, so try again soon.

If neither of those seem to be the case, please let us know! We'll figure out what's going on and get your report fixed right away.
